Amy Burk, APRN
“I believe excellent care begins with listening to patients and their families and involves understanding all facets of any given illness. Health and well-being can be better achieved when the patient is treated holistically as opposed to disease process oriented.”
Get to know Me
“I received undergraduate degrees from the University of South Carolina and Washington State University in Biology and Nursing. I worked as an ER/Trauma/Perioperative nurse for ten years prior to returning to graduate school. I obtained my Master’s in Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Florida and am board certified by the ANCC in Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
I am originally from South Carolina and have lived in the Tampa Bay Area for the last seven years. I have four children and three dogs who keep me very busy. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, antiquing, and finding adventurous things to do with my family.”
Words I Live By
