Amy believes excellent care begins with listening to patients and their families and involves understanding all facets of any given illness. Health and well-being can be better achieved when the patient is treated holistically as opposed to disease process oriented.
Amy has four children and three dogs who keep her very busy but in her spare time she enjoys reading, antiquing, and finding adventurous things to do with her family.
Amy received undergraduate degrees from University of South Carolina and Washington State University in Biology and Nursing. She worked as an ER/Trauma/Perioperative nurse for ten years prior to returning to graduate school. She obtained her Master’s in Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from University of South Florida and is board certified by the ANCC in Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
Amy is originally from South Carolina and has lived in the Tampa Bay Area for the last seven years.
